Enabling or disabling the <em>compatibility mode<\/em> as described on <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.citrix.com\/thread.jspa?threadID=286279\" target=\"_blank\">this thread<\/a> at Citrix forums didn\u2019t solve the problem for a compete 100%. The \u2018best\u2019 workaround is to set the browser mode to Internet Explorer 8. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h1>Symptoms<\/h1>\n<p>After you login to the NetScaler you will see a grey bar and nothing else, except some white space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ingmarverheij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Netscaler-X-login.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 0px 5px 0px 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"Netscaler X login\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Netscaler X login\" src=\"https:\/\/ingmarverheij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Netscaler-X-login_thumb.png\" width=\"254\" height=\"204\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/ingmarverheij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Citrix-Netscaler-Configuration...-not-working.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 0px 5px 0px 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"Citrix Netscaler - Configuration... not working\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Citrix Netscaler - Configuration... not working\" src=\"https:\/\/ingmarverheij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Citrix-Netscaler-Configuration...-not-working_thumb.png\" width=\"254\" height=\"204\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>&#160;<\/h1>\n<h1>Workaround<\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li>Press F12 to open the Developer Tool. <\/li>\n<li>Change the Browse Mode from \u2018Internet Explorer 9 \u2013 Compatibility Mode\u2019 to \u2018Internet Explorer 8\u2019 <\/li>\n<li><em>Ignore the error that it\u2019s can\u2019t retrieve the version, it will after a refresh (or selecting another node)<\/em> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ingmarverheij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Citrix-Netscaler-Configuration...-fixed.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 0px 5px 0px 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px\" title=\"Citrix Netscaler - Configuration... fixed\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Citrix Netscaler - Configuration... fixed\" src=\"https:\/\/ingmarverheij.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/Citrix-Netscaler-Configuration...-fixed_thumb.png\" width=\"254\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<h1>If that didn\u2019t work<\/h1>\n<p>If setting the browse mode to IE8 didn\u2019t solve the problem you can try the following suggestions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the x64 version of Internet Explorer<\/li>\n<li>Use Sun Java Runtime Environment 6 update 16<\/li>\n<li>Use Google Chrome instead (portable version can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/portableapps.com\/apps\/internet\/google_chrome_portable\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Use the default username (nsroot) instead <\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After an upgrade of a NetScaler from 9.3 to NetScaler X (NetScaler 10) I wasn\u2019t able to manage it from Internet Explorer 9 (IE9).&#160; All you would see is a grey bar on top and a white screen I&#8217;\u2019ve only been able to test this with a non-default (nsroot) username .
